Use of plastic cores for special purity requirements.
1 inch core means 25.4 mm core inner diameter, core holder on our machines is 24.6 mm.
3 inch core means 76.2 mm core inner diameter, core holder on our machines is 75.5 mm.
Thick Film
Advantage
Good adaptation of the sonotrode to the workpiece.
Disadvantage
High energy absorption by the film leading to heating and thus to adhesion of the film.

Advantage
Low energy absorption of the film.
Disadvantages
Little adaptation of the sonotrode to the workpiece.
Sonotrode punctures more quickly.
A 50 my film is used most frequently. This is a good compromise between energy absorption and protection of the workpiece.
The film width should be at least 10 mm wider than the sonotrode.
